Hooked on Fishing!

Every school year, our fourth graders participate in Hooked on Fishing. Nearly 200 classrooms across Montana take part in this program, which focuses on cultivating responsible, informed, and ethical behavior among upper elementary and middle school students to help them better understand and enjoy Montana’s fisheries and water resources. Our students will learn about water, fish, fisheries management, and take part in hands-on actvities like fish identification, ice fishing and fish dissecting. We are grateful to our FWP staff and volunteer instructors who help provide our students with these lifelong skills. 

Board Game Book Report!

For one of their book reports, our 4th graders get to make their own board games based on the animal they have researched. The students makes trivia questions based on the facts they have learned and get creative in designing and making up their games. When the project is due, they get to play each others board games in class.
