Battle of the Books
Bigfork students in grades 4 through 8 gets the opportunity to create teams and participate in Montana Battle of the Books. The teams typically read 10-12 book titles over a period of time, and test their knowledge about the books in school battles. The the qualifying teams prepare for the state competition and another round of book battles.
Yearly Book Fair
Bigfork Elementary and Middle School library hosts a Scholastic Book Fair every year. This is a great opportunity for our students to browse among titles for their favorite books and genres and to discover new reads! Not only does it encourage and inspire our students to read, it is also an important fundraiser for our school library so that we can continue to provide excellent books for our students throughout the school year. The Book Fair is usually held in November, during the Parent/Teacher conferences. Information will be sent home with students ahead of each fair.
