Bigfork School District 38

Athletics

Welcome to Bigfork Schools Athletics Department

Bigfork School District understands that interscholastic athletics are a significant part of the educational process. The combination of academics and athletics enhances the quality of students’ lives and expands their options for learning and personal growth. Athletics provide an educational opportunity in which students can learn essential life lessons beyond those that can be learned in an academic classroom.

The Bigfork School District 38 Activities Coordinator and Athletics Director is Matt Porrovecchio.
Middle School Activities Coordinator is Carol Venegas.

MHSA Physical Examination Update

Physical examinations conducted May 1, 2025, or later are now valid for the following two (2) school years.

If your student completed an MHSA physical during the 2025-26 school year, it will remain valid for the 2026-27 school year.

Please note: All incoming freshmen are required to complete a new MHSA physical examination.

If the current MHSA rule remains in place, student-athletes will generally need a full physical during their Freshman and Junior years, with an Interim Medical History Form required during their Sophomore and Senior years.

All required forms can be found on the MHSA website.

All physical and interim history forms must be completed and uploaded into Arbiter prior to participation.

Sports Registration Platform – Arbiter

We are now using ArbiterSports for all activity registrations. Activities participation steps and requirements previously managed through Dragonfly, will now be done through Arbiter. Use the buttons below to navigate to the Middle School and the High School Athletics pages to find more information on how to register your student athlete(s).
